Bio

I've been writing as long as I can remember. I started with pop-style song lyrics and stories about princesses and unicorns. By third grade, I was trying my hand at murder mysteries, and by the fifth grade I was reviewing movies for my community center's newsletter. In the eighth grade I started writing a column in the student newspaper, and was recognized by the Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association. In college I served as the chief copy and later editor-in-chief for the campus paper, which prepared me for my first newspaper job, where I was the sole staff reporter and handled everything from taking photographs to investigative reporting to writing a weekly column recognized the Oklahoma Press Association. Now I freelance full-time, writing everything from profiles to press releases.
